Wilbur & Paisley Review...Ruffle Snuffle!

Updated: Oct 11, 2018

Hi guys! It's been a while but we're back and we're very excited to share our latest blog with you. We've been rushed off our paws working behind-the-scenes on some new and exciting things (and getting ready for Christmas, of course!) We've also been busy taste testing new products, which you may have seen if you follow us on Facebook, and trying out lots of other exciting goodies.

Today we're here to tell you all about an amazing company called Ruffle Snuffle...

Named one of the top 20 British Pet Accessory Brands this year, their top-selling product is the Ruffle Snuffle mat. If you don't know what a snuffle mat is then we'll explain...

Snuffle mats are almost like a mini, fluffy rug! Put simply - the base is a rubber mat with holes in. Fabric strips are then fixed to these holes making for a perfect little rug for us to sniff out treats. Paisley and I both have one and they are so much fun! Nice and soft on the nose and the perfect boredom buster! You can also use them to slow down fast eaters or to provide enrichment for pets who are recovering from an illness. And guess what? They're not just limited to dogs. Cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and even horses can have plenty of fun with them!

Ruffle Snuffle are the bestselling makers of snuffle mats for dogs, cats and small animals so why not have a look at them here? No two are the same and you can even design your own!

As we already had snuffle mats, we got to try out some of their other amazing handmade products! The first was a Tug'n'Treat toy...

This fun toy has a long and soft handle with a ball on the end - brilliant for games of tug. If there's one thing I love, it's playing tuggy with daddy so this was the perfect toy for me. Of course, ball-obsessed-Paisley was far more interested in the end of the rope!

These tug toys are all handmade so come in a wide range of colours and shapes. The ball is made from 100% natural rubber and the handle is from super strong & stretchy fleece. Ours came with a round holey ball which is perfect for pushing treats in. So ball, treat dispenser & tug toy in one? What's not to love...?!

Do note that these are tug toys, and not for chewing, so we always need to be supervised whilst playing with them. Which is great news for us as it gives us an excuse to play with daddy! Oh, and mummy says to mention that they are even machine washable too...

The other item we tried we were slightly less enthused about...Whiffy natural dog soap!

Of course, the only reason we weren't too happy to try this was because we all know what soap equals...the dreaded B-A-T-H!! Now, mum usually uses dog shampoo on us. She's always wondered about dog soaps but couldn't quite get her head around it. She wasn't sure if it would lather up properly, give us a complete clean or leave us smelling fresh (yeah, thanks for that mum...like we don't smell good already?!)

She enticed us into the bath and bathed us in the warm water before massaging the soap over us. She was surprised to see how quickly it lathered up and how much easier it was to get deep into our fur than it is with shampoo. It left our fur shiny, soft and fluffy and smelling fresh for days after.

The soap we tried was luscious lime but they do several other gorgeous fragrances as well, including coconut and lavender. Mum is desperate to try the coconut one out! The soap is very long-lasting so she may be waiting a while...

A huge thank you to Ruffle Snuffle for sending us these goodies! We LOVED the toy and always wag our tails when daddy gets it out for playtime. And we think it's safe to say that mum is a doggy soap convert!

We have to award Ruffle Snuffle:

Make sure to check out their website. There are plenty of things for all pets including cats, dogs, horses and bunnies! There are also some great Christmas gift ideas for your list to Santa Paws! Festive Snuffle mats, Christmas tree decorations, stockings and much more... Check them out here!

Many thanks for reading,

Until next time...

Love, nose licks & waggy tails,

Wilbur & Paisley
